Happy April Fools!

No prank here, but I thought I'd say it anyway. Hey, least it's better than "A pinch and a punch for the first of the month, no-returns-full-stop-ow! You can't do that, I said NO RETURNS, FULL STOP! Skank."

Also, because I've been horribly neglectful and busy-ful, I shall post two spreads, both which completely contradict each other. The first, "Bow to a Classic", celebrates my love for all things classy, elegant and lady-like with no less than thirteen items featuring, funnily enough, a bow.

The second, "Museum of Modern Belts", was inspired both by the statement belt and the fact that the hilarious acronym of Museum of Modern Art "MoMA" was stuck in my head and this seemed the only way I could get it out. Well, it worked. MoMB is nowhere near as catchy. But, thank goodness, is still just as sexy.

xx my lovers!

Break in those dancin' shoes

I've got a slightly weird way of breaking in my shoes. See, what I do is put on my brand spanking-new shoes, make sure my door is shut, pump up the music and dance. Hip hop, house, whatever I feel like.
Right now though, I'm ADORING Fred Astaire. If you're blue, and you don't know what to do, [insert Fred Astaire-like words), puttin' on the ritz... dum, dum, dum... >glances around surreptitiously<

And yes, each time, I hope no one's caught me.

Smokin'

Look, there's no doubt about it: YSL's Le Smoking is the sex. If it were a person, I would rape it.

It'd have to be classy rape of course, so you know, I'd take it to a classy bar and spike its fancy cocktail, then carry it back to some swishy 5-star hotel and rape it on those awesomely soft and big beds hotels have.*

But it's not a person, and so I shall have to console myself by putting together a spread of my fav. classic-yet-unique-and-sexy items in stores now. >licks lips<

*Note: this is PURELY HYPOTHETICAL. I do not condone rape in any fashion, I am just saying that Le Smoking is sexy.

Damn Sportsgirl and their catchy phrases

THANK GOODNESS it's no longer 35 degrees C outside!! How the freak am I meant to get excited about elegant winter fashion and all those cosy, yummy, snugalicious layers if it's boiling???

Thank you, weather, for taking fashion into consideration. It's colder today, and therefore I am now in the right mood to browse Sportsgirl's winter catalogue, most of which isn't in store yet but promises some delightful styles.

I am hearting:

their dark, shiny metallic nailpolishes (as if I wouldn't! Is it possible to have a nailpolish fetish??)

their shoeboots - man, that word is fun to say! sh-boots. shooo-boots. shbots.

their patterned stockings a la Gossip Girl. I can get more wear out of my shorty shorts with these classic schoolgirl delights! Yay!

their vests - but NOT over flannel shirts. >shudders< Was there ever a more bogan combination??

Love the colours featured this season too - dark green, burgundy (wine, anyone?), folksy caramel brown, and midnight blue. Now to get myself some money so I can BUY IT ALL UP!!!

Kit fetish

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a woman, single or not, in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of shoes. Yes, shoes. I have yet to meet an exception - even the non-fashion-obsessed women I know love shoes. Heels, slingbacks, joggers, boots, thongs, whatever - shoes are shoes and it is truly a miracle that I'm a size 35 EU (4-5 AU) because otherwise I would spend my entire year's pay on shoes.
Like, whatever. I am really pissed off at all these beautiful shoes my feet are too small for.
But anyway, because I can't really fit into many shoes, I spend my pay at Kit Cosmetics too.

Because let's just say that the nailpolish is now my lover but I pay the Juicy Mood-Lifter body scrub frequent booty calls. It's a steamy love triangle, but no one minds, least of all me, because they are both truly excellent products and definitely worthy of my money.

Why? Well because the nailpolish is smooth, goes on like a dream and dries quickly; the body scrub was a tad oily at first but smells so invigorating I think I shall forgive its minor trespasses.
You are all invited to the wedding (with the nailpolish in Big Bang, hurrah!)

Beach to Bargain

Hrm, so for some reason, no matter how determined I am to NOT go shopping, as soon as someone mentions the word 'Bondi' I start plotting which shops I plan to hit first. Serious sign of a shopaholic? Or serious self-image issues? Probably both, but let's leave that for later. Psycho-analysis is boring, shopping is FUN!

So anyway. YES I hit Bondi today. YES I bought something. And YES there are 5 million and two other things that I really, really want but am too poor to afford (believe me, it sucks).

NUMBER ONE ON THE LIST: Silver T-bar 'U Thong' sandals from Wittner $109.95 (I know, horrible name. I wonder who makes up the names?? I wonder if someone's job is to just sit there and come up with names. That'd be hilarious, hee hee hee.)

NUMBER TWO: A shimmery, almost-nude, pale pink colour like OPI Nailpolish 'Hearts & Tarts'. Yummm. Elegant but different.

NUMBER THREE: EVERYTHING in Kookai Bondi Junction. I want to live in the store!! (Of course, I also want to buy a nightclub and live there - with the current property rates in Sydney, buying Kookai and the nightclub might actually be cheaper).

NUMBER FOUR: Shiny dark-blue metallic Havaianas. But first, I need to actually find them in my size. Grrr. =.=

Oh yeah! And they have CUSTOM HAVAIANAS now!! Check it out at General Pants Bondi - you pretty much choose the base colour and the straps at the top. I like my thongs to be one solid colour though, so so much for playing with that >sigh<.
So anyway, the list goes on, but a girl can only save up for a few things at once... after all, I DO have to save money for impulse purchases.

p.s. I am quite aware that this sort of spending and materialism is bad. OH WELL.
